Located across from the Magnetic Hill tourist area, Butterfly World is a seasonal attraction that provides educational opportunities for families to learn about the lives of butterflies. Over 20 butterfly and moth species are housed in this indoor garden. The garden is open daily from July to Labour day.
When a vehicle drives "downhill" here, and at a specified spot stops, and shifts into neutral, the vehicle then coasts "uphill". This is all created by an optical illusion, and it offers an interesting experience.
Irishtown Nature Park is a 890 hectare (2,200 acre) park complete with biking, hiking and cross-country skiing trails. There is a large lake and forest area filled with wildlife and birds.
This park is set on 299 acres, and has excellent facilities. These include a lake with a beach and boating, and canoes and paddleboats for rent. The park has extensive woods, trails for hiking and biking, and in winter cross-country skiing and sleigh rides.
